COSHH Testing St Helens
COSHH assessment and certification is a mandatory requirement under UK Legislation and must be undertaken by any employer who has operational Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Systems which are provided to ensure the protection of personnel from dust, fume or chemical emissions within the working environment.
It is an employer’s legal obligation to ensure a formal assessment, examination and test of an LEV system at least once every 14 months, in some cases more frequently. We offer a COSHH assessment and certification service in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements of Regulation 9 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
COSHH assessments are carried out to meet with the requirements of HSG (Health and Safety Guidance) 258 “Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work: A Guide to Local Exhaust Ventilation”.
Our engineers hold British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) Proficiency Certificate P601 – Initial Appraisal and Thorough Examination & Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems.
Our COSHH test certificates are comprehensive and consist of a detailed report. This includes both qualitative and quantitative assessments, airflow and pressure measurements, system schematics and photographs.
